Traveling to Batu Malang in East Java

Batu Town is a city in East Java Province, Indonesia. Stone town is located 90 km southwest of Surabaya or also 15 km to the northwest of Malang. Batu city is located on the path that connects between Malang with Kediri and also Malang with Jombang. Batu city is bordered by Mojokerto regency and also Pasuruan regency in the north as well as Malang Regency in the east, then south, and also west. The area of the city is located at an altitude of 700 to 1,700 meters above sea level with an average air temperature of 12 to 19 degrees Celsius.





Batu City was formerly a part of Malang Regency, which was then designated as an administrative city on March 6, 1993. On October 17, 2001, Batu City was designated as an autonomous city which has been separated from Malang Regency. This stone is also known as one of the most prominent tourist city in Indonesia due to its extraordinary natural beauty potential. The admiration of the nation from the Dutch against the beauty and also the natural beauty of this Stone makes the city of Batu is aligned with a country in the European continent of Switzerland and also dubbed as De Kleine Zwitserland or also with the name of Small Switzerland on the island of Java. Together with Malang City and also Malang Regency, Batu City is also part of the unity of region known as Malang Raya can also call (Metropolitan Region of Malang).





Tourism to Batu city is one of the largest in Indonesia. The number of tourist visits to this poor city of rock is one of the largest along with the island of Bali and also Yogyakarta. Batu city attractions are very diverse, namely from history, then retail, and also education, to the natural area. In the tourist attraction in Songgoriti, there is also Songgoriti temple relics of Medang Kingdom and also the statue of Ganesha Kingdom of Singhasari relics and also a resting place that has been built since the Dutch era.
