Monas Monument in Jakarta







Monument National Monument or more popularly abbreviated by the name of Monas or Monas Monument is also a memorial that has a height of 132 meters or 433 feet that have been established to be able to commemorate the resistance and struggle for the people of Indonesia to seize a freedom from the hands of the colonial government of the Indies Dutch at the time. The construction of this national monument was started on 17 August 1961 under the order of President Sukarno and was opened to the public on July 12, 1975. This monument is crowned by flames that have been lined with gold sheets that symbolize a spirit of struggle that is being blazed.





Monument National Monument or monument is located right in the middle of Medan Field Merdeka, in Central Jakarta. This national monument and museum is open daily from 8 am to 3 pm. On Mondays every month is closed to the public. At the top of the monument is a bowl on which there is a flame of bronze material that reaches a height of 17 meters and a diameter of 6 meters with a weight of 14.5 tons. On this Flame Tongue has coated gold which weighs 45 kg. And the flame of Monas itself is made up of 77 unified parts. The courtyard at the top is 11x11 m wide. To reach the existing courtyard at the top, visitors can use the elevator facilities with a long journey around 3 minutes. Around the elevator, there is also an emergency staircase for emergencies.





From the top floor of Monas Monument, visitors can also see the skyscrapers in the city of Jakarta. Even when the air is sunny, visitors can also see Mount Salak in West Java and the vast Java Sea with the Thousand Islands. On the lower courtyard has an area of 45x45 m. Size Height from the base of the task Monas to the lower courtyard that reaches 17 meters. In this section, visitors can also see Monas Park which is a very beautiful urban forest. At the bottom of Monas monument, there is also a room or a wide diorama that is in the form of National Museum. Which has a height of 8 meters? This National Museum also displays the history of the struggle of the Indonesian Nation that blazed at that time. The area of this national museum is about 80x80 m. On the four sides of this national museum, there are 12 dioramas or display windows featuring the history of the Indonesian nation from the time of the ancestral kingdom of the Indonesian nation itself until the tragedy of G30S PKI.

Balado is a typical cooking technique from Minangkabau that is by sauté chili milled with various spices, usually can onion, then garlic, and also lime.
